This state boasts of stunning beaches, great cities including Los Angeles and San Francisco, natural wonders such as Yosemite National Park, and an impressive economic status. That said, as for crime, California does have some big population centers and, as such, there are certain concerns that the buyer should take into account before selecting the most secure neighborhood. Luckily, there are numerous remarkable communities and cities in California that experience little or no crime in such picturesque surroundings.
Irvine
Crimenomics, Irvine ranks very high on the list of the safest cities in America because its violent crime rate is among the lowest. Currently, Irvine records very low violent crime rates, ranking 0.55 per 1000 residents, which is lower compared to other states as well as the entire country. The Saddleback Valley Unified School District has highly rated schools, the area has many parks with sports fields and playgrounds, the residents get to live in unique neighborhoods with small condos to large mansions, there are low unemployment rates and easy access to the beaches especially Laguna Beach through the I-5 and other toll roads. Danville
Danville is a town situated in the San Francisco Bay Area and has one of the best safety ratings and liveability ratings. Praised as one of the safest cities in California, Danville has one of the lowest incidences of property crime and violent crime with only eight recorded incidents of the latter in the whole of 2019 as reported by the FBI. Danville neighborhoods are often ranked in the top areas for families in the Bay Area and California as well; people like the schools – the San Ramon Valley Unified public schools; the parks and recreation facilities; large pleasant neighborhoods with spacious houses; and the well-preserved historic downtown area with many cafes and shops. By site selection, Danville is conveniently located near both San Francisco and Silicon Valley industrial areas by I-680.
Yorba Linda
Coming out as the 13th safest city in California according to the latest survey, Yorba Linda in Orange County features very low incidences of violent and property crimes per thousand population, situated in a picturesque, small town-like environment close to beaches and large cities. Violent crimes in the same year were just 23, which gave a paltry rate of 0.44 per thousand residents in Yorba Linda. Newcomers can opt for suburban tracts with walled and gated compounds or pieces of land near quality schools in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. Housing is relatively inexpensive with median home prices ranging from $800,000 and parks that provide golf skate parks, and concerts among other events, and the annual street fairs create a strong fellow feeling in this safe family-oriented city adjacent to Disneyland.
Rancho Santa Margarita
Each neighborhood within this Orange County master-planned community is carefully planned and developed to offer families a safe and secure new home as soon as they move in. Lincoln
A relatively young city that has shown significant growth in the recent past, Lincoln in Placer County has maintained safety and any appeal it may possess. Surrounded northeast of Sacramento in one of the two counties that are experiencing the highest growth in California, Lincoln’s violent crime rate still stands only at approximately 26 per 100,000 of the population in the year 2018. Growth is taken under a comprehensive general plan with more emphasis on rational and sustainable land use, green areas, and trails. There are new construction projects around Lincoln that include family houses due to the desire for secure neighborhoods as the Sacramento area grows. Lincoln offers a picturesque place close to a wine region and Sierra Nevada sports facilities with convenient shopping and dining 28 miles from Sacramento and 15 miles from Roseville.
